Biography

A PASSIONATE, EXPERIENCED ATTORNEY AT LAW

Sally A. Morris, Attorney at Law, began her career as an employment attorney in 1992 litigating cases involving the Massachusetts State Colleges and the City of Boston Fire Department. She joined the Portland, Maine law firm of Friedman, Gaythwaite, Wolf & Leavitt in 1997 where she became known for smart, strategic employment law advice. She has successfully represented nursing homes, local YMCA chapters, independent research laboratories, residential care facilities, dog kennels, hair salons, hotels and individuals in disputes over both federal labor laws and Maine labor laws.

In 2003, Sally decided to found her own business and focus on labor law, civil rights cases, employment law, nonprofit law and nonprofit compliance. Her practical advice and compliance solutions help small businesses and nonprofit organizations avoid pitfalls and empowers individuals. A strong and successful litigator, Sally has argued on behalf of her clients before administrative agencies and in state and federal court. She has also served as an independent investigator to companies for sensitive employment matters.

Sally graduated with honors from the New England School of Law, where she edited the New England Law Review. She received the New England Scholar Award and the American Jurisprudence Award in Equitable Remedies. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Boston University.

You need a labor attorney who knows how to help you and never forgets what your fight means to you. Sally has built a successful legal career as a litigation lawyer by always putting clients first. Hard work, keen legal insight and the ability to truly connect with clients set Sally’s legal advice and litigation apart.
